Browns has unveiled its latest Brook Street store exclusive, a curated edit of over 50 pre-owned iconic vintage bags from the likes of Chanel, Hermés and Louis Vuitton, in collaboration with luxury resale platform Luxclusif.
The bags have been hand-picked by buyers from Browns, and the Chanel edit features both timeless classics from the ‘Double Flap’ and ‘Boy’ bag, to rare editions including the ‘Mermaid 2.55’ bag from Chanel’s ‘Metiers d’Art 2020’, and the Coco ‘Splash’ flap which debuted on the 2018 runway.
From Hermés, customers can find the brand’s heritage ‘Birkin’ and ‘Kelly bags’ in a range of candy colours and sizes and, alongside some Louis Vuitton classics, there is some of its most famous collaborations, including the famed ‘Graffiti’ and ‘Roses’ collections with Stephen Sprouse, the ‘Multicolore’ and ‘Cherry Blossoms’ collections by Takashi Murakami, and a ‘Watercolor Papillon’ by Richard Prince. There’s also some sought after Marc Jacobs-era denim models.
Hugo Preece, Womenswear Non-Apparel Buyer at Browns, said: “We’ve been working towards launching pre-owned bags for many years, not just because it aligns with our sustainable goals and plays a key part in a circular economy, but also because we know these are pieces our customers will love for years to come.
“We’re thrilled to have secured an assortment of the hottest pre-loved brands, with a tongue in cheek offering covering only the best of the best. The cherry on the cake has to be the candy store selection of Birkins and Kellys.”
Rui Rapazote, Co-founder of Luxclusif, added: “For this partnership, Browns and Luxclusif worked collaboratively to imagine the best possible assortment for such a location as Browns Brook Street. We sourced many models specifically for the occasion to amaze and surprise the fashion-forward audience.”
