Jimin of BTS Fronts the Dior Spring 2024 Men’s Collection Campaign

It came as no surprise when Jimin was appointed as Dior’s global brand ambassador earlier this year in January. After all, the South Korean pop idol and Friend of the House had been seen sporting looks from the French luxury brand on multiple occasions. Plus, with the ever-growing influence of BTS, the boy group in which Jimin stars as a main dancer, it was only a matter of time before a major fashion label tapped into the group’s international reach. So with Dior’s latest Spring 2024 campaign, we’re glad to finally see Jimin claiming his title as the maison’s global ambassador.

The sun-lit campaign, as captured through the eyes of British photographer Alasdair McLellan, shows Jimin at the forefront of the brand’s soft, bucolic collection. Jimin is pictured in a quaint countryside, donning a turtleneck softened by knitwear and a slouchy sweater vest. A romantic endeavour, the graphic-heavy collection by Artistic Director for Dior Men Kim Jones pushes us to question the functionality and purpose of stiff modern tailoring.

Veering away from rigid architectural construction, the Spring 2024 collection from Dior focuses more on something that we can all get behind – practicality and comfort. But of course, Dior doesn’t forsake form either. The brand’s signature motifs and styles are revitalised. The CD diamond is restructured into a rhomboid, and the Dior Oblique motif finds its place on new sneaker styles, bags and scarves. In keeping with the gentle breeze of the season, Dior’s Spring 2024 collection presents a refreshingly soft take on classic, preppy silhouettes.
