Gucci Retains Top Spot for 2nd Consecutive Quarter in Lyst Index

Italian brand Gucci has retained the top spot for the second consecutive quarter in the latest Lyst Index, with Prada (second), Valentino (third), Miu Miu (fifth), Fendi (seventh), Diesel (eighth) and Versace (tenth)—all brands from the same country—moving up within the top 10.

French brands Balenciaga, Dior and Louis Vuitton rank fourth, sixth and ninth respectively.

Gucci became the first major luxury brand to accept ApeCoin payments and named Canadian actor Ryan Gosling face of the Gucci Valigeria campaign.

Strong demand for Prada’s logo tank top, signature nylon accessories and sunglasses over the summer increased searches for the brand by 44 per cent in this quarter, pushing it into the second position—its highest ever Index placement. It also announced third limited-edition NFT Timecapsule Collection.

Subsidiary brand Miu Miu jumped two places, moving into fifth position. It continued its upcycling initiative through a limited-edition range of leather jackets.

In September, Paris Hilton walked the Versace runway at the Milan Fashion Week, resulting in a 2,000 per cent rise in searches for the brand.

Italy’s Dolce & Gabbana (twelfth) climbed three spaces in the list.

Italy’s Bottega Veneta (eleventh) jumped up six positions. It generated €834 million in revenue in the first half this year.

Miu Miu’s ballet flats were the hottest product of the quarter, with a 1,100 per cent spike in searches.
